Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
ReSpace is a product based in Jakarta, Indonesia. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights. If you have questions, email support@respaceai.app.
2. What we collect
Information you give us directly
- Account info — your Google account identity (email, display name, profile photo) when you sign in
- Country of residence — selected during onboarding so we can show local retailers and pricing
- Style preferences — answers from the Style DNA quiz (selected styles, budget tier, priority)
- Photos you upload — photos of rooms you want redesigned
- Room dimensions — optional length/width you enter if you enable the "exact dimensions" toggle
Information we generate from your activity
- Your generations — the AI-redesigned images and product shopping lists created from your photos
- Subscription status — whether you're Free or Pro, daily/monthly generation counts (no payment card info)
Technical information
- Device type and browser (derived from the request headers)
- IP address — used only for abuse prevention and crash logs; not stored with your user profile
- Anonymous analytics events — screen views and feature usage via Firebase Analytics
- Push notification tokens — only if you grant notification permission
3. How we use it
- Generate AI redesigns of your rooms (photos sent to Google Vertex AI for processing)
- Match products from real retailers to the designs we generate
- Remember your preferences between sessions (country, style, generation history)
- Send push notifications when your redesigns are ready (only if you granted permission)
- Show rewarded video ads and banner ads to free-tier users via Google AdMob (Pro users see no ads)
- Detect abuse, prevent fraud, and keep the service running
- Improve product quality by looking at aggregate patterns (never individual users' photos)
4. Who we share it with
Infrastructure providers we depend on
- Google Cloud (Firebase + Vertex AI) — hosts our backend, database, authentication, and powers the AI generation. Your photos are transmitted to Google Vertex AI for processing, governed by Google's Data Processing Agreement. Google does not retain or train on your photos under the terms we use.
- Google AdMob — serves ads to free-tier users only. AdMob may use cookies and device IDs per its own privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's ad-settings.
- RevenueCat — syncs your subscription state between Apple / Google and our backend, when Pro is available.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your personal information to third-party data brokers
- We do not share your uploaded photos with retailers or any third party other than Google Vertex AI for generation
- We do not use your photos or generations to train AI models
5. How long we keep it
- While your account is active — we keep your generations, uploaded photos, and preferences so you can access your history at any time
- After account deletion — fully deleted from our systems within 30 days of your request
- Deletion on request — email support@respaceai.app from your account email; we'll confirm before deleting
- Technical logs (IP, crash reports) — retained for up to 90 days then purged
6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA and similar)
Regardless of where you live, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Delete — request deletion of your account and data
- Correct — update inaccurate information (most can be done in the app directly)
- Export — request a portable copy of your generations and preferences
- Object — request we stop processing your data for specific purposes (e.g., analytics)

7. Cookies and tracking
- Firebase Analytics uses cookies and local storage to count returning users and feature usage
- Firebase Authentication uses cookies to keep you signed in across sessions
- Rewarded video ads and banner ads (free tier) may use cookies and device advertising IDs per AdMob's own policy
- You can disable cookies in your browser settings; the app still works, but some conveniences may break (like staying signed in across reloads)
8. Children
ReSpace is intended for users aged 17 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 17. If we learn a user is under 17, we will delete their account and any associated data. If you believe a child is using ReSpace, please email support@respaceai.app.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top when this policy changes. For material changes — such as new data practices or new third parties — we'll also notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
